Kevin came into my life at a crucial point, I was entering High School and he saw something in me that no one else saw. Most saw my athletic talent, which he saw too, but Kevin saw more than that. He cared about me as a person and wanted me to succeed off the field as much as I hoped I would on the field. A big part of where I am today has to do with the time, attention and effort Kevin gave to me at such a young age. He taught me that accomplishing my athletic goals had as much to do with my character, self discipline and attitude as much as it did my talent. Kevin was like a father to me and gave me so many chances when everyone else wanted to give up on me. I owe him so much and am very thankful that he chose to stick with me through the good times as well as the bad. What a great place to work out! Athletes Choice is not only family friendly, they offer a wide variety of classes to reach a broad audience tailoring the work outs to the needs of it’s members. My kids and I both work out here and always leave feeling energized! The gym is clean, the staff is helpful and professional. With some guidance of Athletes Choice coaches & dedication, you WILL achieve a healthier & stronger body!! Both myself & my son are members of Athletes Choice. What a GREAT place for everybody to work out. My son took classes to prepare him for his upcoming Pop Warner football season but he also took classes for fun. He just loves the kickboxing class! Now that football is over, we are looking forward to him having a great place to go & stay active. I recently started training at Athletes Choice in Rancho Santa Margarita. It’s a beautiful gym with fantastic facilities and great equipment. I have used several gym’s the the RSM area and this is definitely the best one. My trainer, Jenny Cregg, recently started training at Athletes Choice. I cannot say enough good things about Coach Hickman. It was my son’s first year playing tackle football and not only is Coach Hickman incredibly patient with the young kids, but he actually knows football and how to play the game! He easily and quickly identified each child’s strength and then worked with them individually to develop the skills they already have within themselves. He is a smart coach who game plans and prepares in advance and the results of his hard work and preparation show in the success and enjoyment that each and every kid shows on that field. Kevin Hickman is a man with a true gift to help people reach their full potential. My son has played many sports, but has never learned as much as he did with Kevin. I love to workout at Athletes Choice; it is a beautiful facility and offers excellent classes. Today I took the turbo kick class, it was a great workout. Last week I took Pilates for the first time; it was an awesome way to be introduced to all of the different movements. The TRX class I took last Thursday was an amazing core workout that took place in the large room that feels like an indoor football field. I am sure when my son is a little older he will love to work with the coaches in one of the kid’s programs that I observed. -Erica C., Lake Forest

Athletes Choice is awesome! The staff are professional, friendly and very competent considering that many of their sports staff have either played professionaly or worked on a professional sports team! I am impressed to say the least! But that’s not what made me decide to join. After talking with the co-owners Maria and Kevin, their attitude and knowledge of sports, football in particular, convinced and encourged me to sign up my 10 year old son who has been wanting to play, but has not due to my reluctance. Santa Margarita Football league seems to be filled with sincere, smart, honest, and good-hearted people. Many of whom I have met at the Athletes Choice Gym. We took our free day with a few reservations, but after the first class there were no more reservations. Coupled with the great membership sale that is going on right now, we saw the awesome opportunity for my son to develop his muscle strength and to learn how to play any sport better from the specialized sports training. And as for me as a parent, I realized that this place affords us the opportunity of community networking in meeting other families of the same ages and interests of our children which is a big plus for us since we are new to the area! We have not missed a day since our first free trial! If you are wanting your child or yourself (there are great exercise classes and personal trainers available for adults too) to have the coaching and training from professionals who understand and care about you as an individual, then this is the place to come and check out! My son, is pumped! He’s focused and inspired after every class. This is a definite blessing for me and my family and I look forward to all that Athletes Choice has to offer in the future!
